Expansion lifts sales at BWAY

Recent acquisitions by general line canmaking firm BWAY lifted its sales to the end of fiscal 2011 by 12.7 percent to US$1.16 billion, compared with the previous year.

Yet for an adjustment to the value of its plastics business in the fourth quarter, the Atlanta-based general packaging manufacturer would have cut its net loss for the year to $8.0m, from $48.2m in 2010.
