December 8: UK pet food manufacturer Butcher’s Pet Care is planning to build a £13 million (US$21m) canning plant in the UK, with Coventry’s Whitley Business Park a leading contender for the facility.

The company, which wants to relocate from its Crick, Northamptonshire, site, said the new plant would create extra jobs and enable the firm to boost production by 50 percent as it bids to become the leading dog food manufacturer in the UK.
