Fashion and dance show climax for Canvironment Week

November 19: Canvironment Week, the India-based campaign to promote the environmental benefits of using metal food and beverage cans, concluded in New Delhi with a grand finale on Wednesday featuring a fashion and dance show.

Organised by canmaker Hindustan Tin Works Ltd (HTWL), Canvironment Week started on November 10 with the setting up of a number of can recycling banks, art events in schools and the initiation of medical services funded by the recycling of cans for the so-called rag pickers, who collect waste materials to make a living.
