FDA decision on BPA "not based on safety"

Consumers could be misled or confused by last week’s decision by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that food additive regulations no longer provide for the use of bisphenol A (BPA)-based epoxy resins as coatings in infant formula packaging, according to canmaking industry group The North American Metal Packaging Alliance (NAMPA).
