Rexam’s first beverage canmaking plant in Finland was inaugurated today by chief executive Graham Chipcase and Lauri Ihalainen, Finland’s Minister of Labour.

The plant at Mäntsälä in southern Finland represents an investment of £68 million ($107m) over three years. When a second production line is completed in 2014 it will have capacity to make up to 1.35 billion 33cl and 50cl aluminium cans a year.
