February 22: Portugal-based ColepCCL, Europe’s largest contract manufacturer and filler of aerosol cans, has started up canmaking at its plant in Kleszczów, Poland.
Supplied by Italy’s Cevolani, the new line makes steel aerosol cans in 49mm and 52mm diameters at a rate of 450 a minute, boosting the company’s annual canmaking capacity by 50 million cans. It also offers the option to produce 65mm-diameter cans with the correct tooling, and a second line is already planned, to add 45mm- and 57mm-diameter cans to the plant’s capacity.
