First beverage can plant for Cambodia

February 23: Cambodia’s first beverage-can plant is expected to start production in mid-2007.

Located in the suburbs of the capital city Phnom Penh, the plant will be built by Crown with capacity to make 500 million 33cl aluminum beverage cans a year for nearby drinks manufacturers. The project follows Crown’s expansion in Vietnam where a slim can line is being added to one of the two plants there.
