December 9: Beverage cans printed by Ball Packaging Europe with non-contact digital technology developed by Tonejet in the UK will use inks supplied by US-based INX International.
Ball recently announced that it would be installing a pilot digital printing line at its Hassloch beverage can plant in Germany in the first quarter of 2009. It enables short runs of cans to be decorated with photo-quality 600dpi images created with inks using chemistry similar to that currently used for cans.
