July 24: A combination of higher selling prices and improved manufacturing performance offset a decline in sales of beverage cans at Ball Corporation in the second quarter.

Chief executive David Hoover said: “Our results reflect the actions we have taken over the past 18 months to better align our supply with demand, a seasonal increase in volumes and better plant performance throughout our operations.”
