Fourth beverage can plant in Brazil for Crown

November 1: World canmaking leader Crown is keeping up its pace of beverage can capacity increases with a fourth aluminium can body plant to be built in Brazil.

 

Crown didn’t reveal the precise location, saying it will be in the north of the country to meet growing demand in the region for beer and soft drink cans and will have capacity to make 1 billion cans with room for expansion.

Crown has been investing heavily in Brazil through its joint venture operations between its subsidiary Crown Embalagens and Petropar SA to meet beverage can demand that is growing at more than 12 percent a year.
