February 27: Aerosol can, label and tube manufacturer CCL Industries posted sales up by almost 4 percent at US$1.19 billion for its year ended in December 2008.
But net profits from continuing international operations were halved to $48m.

This was the aftermath of Canada-based CCL’s disposal in the final quarter of 2007 of ColepCCL in Europe for $43.5m and a goodwill impairment charge of $31.4m in the final quarter of 2008.
