Gifford lands top beverage can job

April 4: Jerry Gifford has been promoted to the top job running Crown’s beverage can plants in North America. He takes over from Bob Truitt, who has retired after 35 years with Crown Holdings.
As president of Crown Beverage Packaging North America, Gifford will drive the expansion of Crown’s products into new markets and with new customers. He will also be responsible for overseeing 16 beverage manufacturing facilities employing more 2,200 people. He will report to Ray McGowan, president of Crown Americas.
