March 2: India’s sole beverage canmaking firm Rexam HTW is producing the country’s first 50cl drinks cans for United Breweries (UB).
Rexam HTW, a 51:49 joint venture between the world’s largest beverage canmaking company Rexam and Indian food and general line canmaker Hindustan Tin Works, signed the contract last week with UB, which claims a 48 percent market share of the domestic beer market and owns the Kingfisher beer brand.
