April 24: A range of offset metal decorating inks that are claimed to outperform current printing standards yet are mostly made from non-fossil-based materials have been launched by INX International Ink Co.
EcoTech inks are said to offer a greener, more sustainable ink system. More than 61 percent of EcoTech’s raw materials content is from bio-based, renewable resources. Vegetable oils account for nearly three-quarters of that percentage. VOC content is less than 5 percent. In addition, EcoTech process colours conform to ISO 2846-1 standards and are suitable for GRACoL G7 certification.
