March 9: India’s leading canmaking company Hindustan Tin Works Ltd (HTWL) is considering the setting up of a plant in the south of the sub-continent.
Sanjay Bhatia, managing director of HTWL (pictured), told Hindu Business Line that demand for tin cans has been growing as a result of the export of mango pulp and coffee from the southern markets. “The idea to set up a plant is yet to crystallise, as we are considering the cost benefit analysis,” he said.
