The annual convention of the International Metal Decorators Association kicked off today when Gus Reall, president of Stolle Machinery LLC, outlined the company’s global developments in the beverage can business.
The convention is being held over two days in Chicago, attracting canmakers and specialists in metal lithography and coatings.
Reall joined Wagner in 1983 and has spent most of his working life in the packaging business, starting in engineering and then moving on to sales and marketing.
He described how Stolle has become more customer focused and that he spends his time travelling the world staying close to customers.
Colorado-based Stolle is now also manufacturing the full range of its machinery in Brazil and it has just opened a facility in South Vietnam. Another facility will be opened in the next 12 months, at an as-yet unknown location.
