A beverage can that holds an imperial pint and is commonly found in the UK is being launched in North America for the first time by canmaking firm Ball Corporation.
Conventional North American beverage cans come in US volumes such as 8, 10, 12, 16 and 24 ounces whereas in Europe they are more closely aligned with metric volumes such as 25cl, 33cl, 44cl and 50cl, with the imperial pint (56.8cl) offering promotional opportunities to brand owners, particularly in the UK brewing industry.
