Impress plant in Italy meets the Global Standard

November 5: An Impress canmaking plant is the first in Italy to obtain Global Standard certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC).

The BRC/IoP Certification – Global Standard – Food Packaging and other Packaging Materials – means that the plant at Montecchio Emilia in Northern Italy meets the exacting standards being achieved by a number of packaging suppliers across Europe.

The standard has been set up by the BRC, which represents retailers, in a way that enables external auditing of suppliers’ manufacturing operations.
