Impress sets up subsidiary in South Korea

August 26: International canmaking company Impress has formed a new subsidiary in South Korea to make aluminium cans for food manufacturer Daesang Corporation, the country’s market leader in luncheon meat.

The new company, Impress Korea, has signed an agreement with Dongwon Group to lease a production area within its Haman plant in Gyeongsangnam-do province. Production of the rectangular aluminium cans, that use peelable easy-open ends, will start in September.
