April 30: Crown Paints and its canmaking supplier Impress are collaborating on a bring-back scheme in the UK to increase the recycling of paint cans.

They want to raise consumer awareness of the need to reduce the volume of recyclable cans ending up in landfill.

Crown Paints is already running a scheme with its trade outlets. “The scheme allows trade customers to return used Crown Paint cans to stores when they purchase a new one,” said Brian Widdop, technical director at Crown Paints Ltd.
