January 27: The world’s leading producer of seafood cans, Impress has agreed to acquire Spanish canmaking company Metalgráfica Gallega (Megasa).
Based at Vilagarcia de Arousa in Galicia, north west Spain, Megasa is the third largest seafood canmaker on the Iberian Peninsula.
Subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to be completed in the first quarter.
