March 10: The US fruit and vegetable canning industry generated revenues of US$23.6 billion in 2009, according to a recently-published report from Supplier Relations US, LLC.

Imports of canned fruit and vegetables from 113 countries were valued at $4.0bn while exports to 158 countries were valued at $2.2bn. Total US domestic demand was worth $25.4bn.
