A video that promotes the environmental benefits of metal packaging has been launched by Apeal, which represents the tinplate manufacturers in Europe, and Empac, the lobbying body for the canmakers and their suppliers.
The three-minute video with an English voice over details how metal packaging prevents waste and spoilage, and how it is 100 percent recyclable with no loss of quality. More than 70 percent of packaging steel in Europe is recycled.
