An inside-spray machine with a smaller footprint for processing aluminium monobloc cans has been launched by Germany’s Sprimag.

The HIL-56 is part of the Ecompact range and has a simplified design that makes it suitable for customers in emerging markets with limited space, and as a retrofit for existing machines.

Being reduced to its essential features with standardised components, the HIL-56 is said to be less susceptible to failure and is easier to maintain.

It is suitable for cans in diameters from 22 to 66mm and heights up to 270mm, and operates at up to 170cpm.
