Irish business boosts Britvic sales

November 28: With the inclusion of newly-acquired business from Ireland, British-based Pepsi bottler Britvic upped its sales by 29.3 percent to £926.3 million (US$1.42bn) for the year ending in September.

For the first time, Britvic Ireland added yearly sales of more than £200m ($308m). Sales for the company’s GB & International operations were up 4.8 percent for the year to £726m ($1.11bn). Profit after tax and exceptional items was £31.8m ($48.8m).

Britvic said that it had outperformed the Great Britain soft drinks markets in all key categories with volume and value share gains by core brands, in particular Pepsi, Robinsons and Fruit Shoot.
