Although Brazil-based global meatpacking giant JBS posted sales in the final quarter of 2016 that were down 11.7 percent at R$47.2 billion (US$14.9bn) compared with the same period a year earlier, it turned the net loss of R$275m ($87m) in the last three months of 2015 into a profit of R$694m ($219m).
