Malaysia’s largest canmaking company Kian Joo Can Factory has accepted a RM1.46 billion US$442m) takeover bid from a local partnership. It means a much higher offer from Japan’s Toyota Tsusho group has been rejected, but Kian Joo’s shareholders have yet to approve the latest deal.
