November 29: Rexam’s first lightweight aluminium bottle for beer and soft drinks is expected to be commercially available before the end of 2007, it has been revealed. And production volumes could be 240 million a year, enough for a major product launch.
Designs for two basic styles of 33cl bottle have been finalized, samples of which were shown during the recent Brau trade show in Germany.
