Less than one-third of US drinks containers recycled

January 1: Of the 200 billion beverage containers sold in the US each year less than one-third are recycled, according to a report from corporate responsibility watchdog As You Sow.
The US Beverage Container Recycling Scorecard and Report evaluated the recycling performance of 23 major US drinks companies including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestlé Waters North America, Anheuser-Busch, MillerCoors, Cott and Dr Pepper Snapple.
