Long-term beverage can growth “positive” says Ball

January 30: First of the leading global canmaking firms to announce results for 2008, Ball Corporation revealed yesterday that it was confident in the growth opportunities for beverage cans.

Chief executive David Hoover (right) also revealed how Ball was responding to the impact of the economic downturn.

Sales last year were up 2.3 percent to US$7.56 billion, and profits after tax up 13.6 percent to $319.5 million.
