Eifeler-Lafer has developed a coating process for can tooling said to offer improved hardness which enables re-coating of the tooling without damage.
Called Duplex, the low-temperature coating process is suitable for coating tooling for D&I steel and aluminium beverage and food can production lines, and is said to produce a compound of base material and coating which is more resistant than standard coatings.
