October 20: Strong beverage can volumes worldwide contributed to a 25 percent rise in third quarter net profit at Crown Holdings to US$135 million.


But with the pass through of lower raw material costs and losses in foreign currency translation, net sales were down by 3.5 percent to $2.2 billion compared with the same period in 2009.
