January 26: Coca-Cola’s fruit drink brand Appletiser has exploited the latest can decoration techniques for the launch of an extended range of flavours in the UK.

They use Rexam’s matt over-varnish process to give a more sophisticated and eye catching look for the canned apple, grape and pear flavoured beverages.

The 33cl aluminium cans, which have been on sale at UK grocery, wholesale and education & workplace channels since November, have the matt varnish applied after the body of the can has been printed, says Rexam.
