October 29: A brand of ready-to-drink tea beverages has become the category leader in its native South Korea, thanks in part to the appeal of aluminium bottles.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage Company is using resealable aluminium bottles – which are made by Daiwa – and shaped three-piece cans for its Oh Neul Eui Cha tea brand, which translates as ‘Today’s Tea’.
The packaging was designed by agency Interbrand, who said: “To really stand out in the market, we used a unique material [metal] that is highly portable and keeps the tea at its ideal temperature.
