June 20: Grupo Modelo chief executive Carlos Fernandez resigned from the Anheuser-Busch board today, and that could pave the way for Inbev to succeed in its US$46.5 billion bid to buy North America’s largest brewer.
In turn, that could mean a carve up of the St Louis institution with its Metal Container Corp beverage can operations being offered for sale.
