March 31: Capacity at the Ball Corporation joint-venture beverage can plant that was opened near Rio de Janeiro last November is being doubled to meet the continuing rise in demand for drinks cans in Brazil.
Ball’s plans were confirmed only days after Crown said that it would double capacity at its plants at Estancia and Ponta Grossa, which is under construction.
