October 13: Poland-based canmaker Can-Pack has outlined expansion plans for its first beverage can plant in India, which started production in May.

When announced at the end of 2007, the plant at Walunj in Aurangabad was originally intended to have a single manufacturing line with a capacity of 900 million aluminium cans a year, and room for another line in a project costing a total of US$190 million.
