August 20: A leading canmaker in Iran is planning to expand its operations with investment in a high-speed scroll shearing line that will enable it to use tinplate coil rather than sheet.
With a plant at Qazvin, 150km north west of Tehran, Iran Ghouti makes a range of three-piece welded cans in diameters from 50 to 99mm for packing tomato paste, baked beans, fruit compotes, ghee, corn and juices, and drawn cans for tuna.
