More streamlining for Silgan in US

February 7: Leading US food can manufacturer Silgan is to shut another plant as part of its continuing streamlining of operations to reduce operating costs, and boost easy-open end capacity.
In a conference call following the announcement of Silgan’s results for 2006, chief executive Anthony Allot revealed that the food can plant at Stockton, California will be shut later this year.
