MP views energy savings at Rexam plant

A British Member of Parliament has been shown how canmaking companies are cutting energy consumption and reducing their environmental impact.

Mary Creagh MP, the shadow environment minister, was given a tour of the Rexam beverage can plant at Wakefield in Yorkshire. The plant is said to have cut its gas consumption by 25 percent and electricity consumption by 30 percent in the past year.
