Crown Holdings produced 7 percent more beverage cans in the first quarter of this year compared with the same period in 2011 as volumes improved in Europe and its newly-opened canmaking plants in China responded to rising demand from drinks producers.
And with the imminent start up of more capacity in China, Vietnam and Turkey, further volume gains are expected this year.
