a treat not just for fans of the band Guns ‘n’ Roses but also for fans of soft drink Dr Pepper in the US.
After 17 years of delays and false starts since the band’s last original material was released, it seemed a sure-fire bet that Guns ‘n’ Roses would not be launching their album Chinese Democracy any time soon.
The length of the wait inspired soft drinks manufacturer Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG) to promise last March that it would give away a free 20oz can of Dr Pepper to every US citizen if the band released the album in 2008.
