June 18: Aerosol product manufacturers in the UK are being offered a seven-day tinplate can turn round service by Crown which will be expanded to other European operations.
The service by Crown Aerosols Europe applies to standard tinplate cans from the time of order placement to customer delivery. Usual lead times have been up to four weeks, or eight weeks with overseas suppliers.
The UK has the largest number of aerosol filling operations in Europe, which grew 2.7 percent last year in the UK to 1.3 billion units.
