Pacific Can starts up fifth plant in China

Pacific Can, the Hong Kong-based canmaking firm that is vying to be one of the largest two-piece beverage can manufacturers in China, has started production at its fifth plant.

The plant, at Qingdao in the north east province of Shangdong, has one line with capacity to make up to 600 million aluminium cans a year.

“Pacific Can has just finished all of our new capex projects,” chief executive Glenn Yee told The Canmaker.
