Packaging helps KBA lift press sales

Investment in the sector that includes metal decorating for canmaking operations helped sales at German press manufacturer KBA rise by 7.7 percent to 510 million euros in the first half of 2011 compared with the same period in 2010.

“Brisk investment by packaging printers helped revive the geographically diverse market for sheet-fed offset and special presses,” said chief executive Helge Hansen. “Business has even picked up outside the fast-growing emerging nations of China, Brazil and Turkey.”
