January 6: Ready-to-drink tea was one of the few sectors to show any growth in North America last year, which could be why Hansen Natural Corporation hopes to get its latest product distributed by Coca-Cola bottlers.
Peace Tea, a range of canned drinks with a distinctive 1960s hippy theme, was launched last November.
Hansen, the California-based producer of Monster Energy, is reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to have been talking to Coca-Cola chiefs in Atlanta, in a move that will develop a distribution relationship it has for Monster in North America and Europe.
