March 19: World-leading manufacturer of metal closures for bottles, Pelliconi is expanding into Egypt with the opening of a joint-venture plant.
The Italy-based firm is collaborating with local entrepreneur Dr Tarek Massoud to form Pelliconi Egypt SAE which starts production in April.
“The aim of our manufacturing presence in Egypt,” said Marco Checchi, managing director of the Pelliconi group, “is to become an active player in the growth of the North African economy and also to have the opportunity to establish our local production on the African continent.
