November 7: PepsiCo has reorganised its structure to more effectively manage its drinks and food business in North America, forming two separate divisions.
Brands such as including Frito-Lay and Quaker will have their own division.
It means that the former chief of PepsiCo’s international operations Massimo d’Amore will take charge of the drinks business in North America.
In a release PepsiCo chief executive Indra Nooyi outlined the changes.
“Given PepsiCo’s robust growth in recent years, we are approaching a size which we can better manage as three units instead of two,” she said.
“Creating units that span North American and international markets, as well as developed and developing markets, allows us to better share best practices among our North America and international businesses, while providing valuable development opportunities for our senior executives.”
