July 29: Austrian canmaker Pirlo has installed two canmaking lines at Chemopak, the Polish company in which it bought a controlling stake last year.

The lines, one for cans up to 1.5 litres and one for pails up to 25 litres, are originally from Ernst AG in Kuesnacht, Switzerland, which stopped production in 2007. They replace two manual lines for 99mm and 175mm diameter paint cans.
