October 19: Aluminium aerosol cans with internal varnish using a powder application system are being commercially produced for the first time by German canmaker Tubex.
The containers for Davidoff lighter gas feature a coating free of solvents which reduces the environmental impact of Tubex’s Rangendingen plant in southern Germany. They are made at speeds of more than 150 cans per minute on an impact-extrusion line supplied by Hinterkopf.
